ASL Portal - QCDA

As part of the 14 to 19 Reform Programme, the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), the Qualification and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA), the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, Sector Skills Councils, and awarding bodies developed a new qualification – the Diploma.

Full visibility of available lines of study for the diploma was limited. A solution was required to integrate qualification data from multiple education organisational systems, both internal and external to QCDA, and to display it at a single, web-based location. Nuffield Health - Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI)
Nuffield Health is the UK’s leading health charity with over 50 years experience providing private healthcare via its network of 40 hospitals and other facilities nationwide.
 
Nuffield needed to implement a central Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) so that the entire business (Hospitals, Radiology, etc) could manage a consistent and accurate view of the patient on a national basis. Entity were commissioned by Initiate Systems (now an IBM Company) to help implement the EMPI solution. Entity took responsibility for the successful implementation of the Initiate Master Data management (MDM) EMPI software, integrating and synchronising patient information between 40 instances of the ISOFT PAS and with the AGFA PACS and RIS. Assurance - National Curriculum Tests

QCDA needed to assess whether any further action could be taken to underpin the security of operating the 2009 National Curriculum Test (NCT) cycle in relation to a set of key system components. Entity were contracted to ensure that the new systems being developed for the 2009 test cycle were robust, secure and would achieve the outputs required from them. Read our case study.

Data Modelling - The Minerva Programme

As part of the 14 to 19 Reform Programme, the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), the Qualification and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA), the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, Sector Skills Councils, and awarding bodies developed a new qualification – the Diploma.

An expert in Information Management was required to design a logical data model upon which a Diploma Aggregation Service (DAS) would be built, to support accessibility to Diploma data by dependant organisations such as Diploma Awarding Bodies.
