Reference Data

Master Reference Data is a sub-set of master data and specifically refers to that information that is used repeatedly across an organisation. Master reference data can be universal (like the list of Countries) or can be enterprise specific.

With the increasing complexity of the information environment within an enterprise, it is becoming standard practice to implement a central Master Reference Data repository containing the single view of the truth relating to all reference data used by the enterprise.
